What type of licence can I purchase?
You can purchase either a single-user licence for your own use or a multi-user licence for your school, college or organisation.
How may I use NEC licensed resources?
If you purchase a single-user licence you may use the resource(s) you have purchased in your own teaching only.
If you purchase a multi-user licence the resource(s) you have purchased may be used by all the teachers and tutors in your school, college or institution with the students within that institution, whom they teach, and can be uploaded to a standalone PC, VLE, LAN or network.
Do I need to renew my licence to continue using the resources?
No, you do not need to renew your licence. The fee you pay is a one-off cost to purchase and download the resource(s) for use with and by the agreed number of licensed users for as long as you/they require.
Can I upgrade my licence from a single-user licence to a multi-user licence?
We do not offer an upgrade option. If you purchase a single-user licence and later decide you require a multi-user licence, so that the resource(s) can be used by all the teachers and trainers in your institution, you will need to purchase a new multi-user licence.
What happens if you update a resource I have purchased a licence for?
If we update one of the resources you have purchased, you will receive an email to let you know that an update is available plus the link to download the updated version.
If we produce a new version of a resource, you will need to purchase a new licence in order to download the new version.
Paying for your licence
How can I pay?
You can pay by debit card or any major credit card. All payments are secure and payable in pounds sterling.
Will I be charged VAT?
Where applicable, VAT at the appropriate rate is included in the price.
Can you provide a VAT invoice?
Where applicable, your email confirmation will include a VAT invoice.
How do I redeem a discount code?
Discounts are calculated at Check Out. If you have a discount code, you should enter this in the ‘Discount’ box – which appears on the Review Order page – and ‘Apply’ it. Your shopping cart will automatically update with the discount applied to your order and you continue the check out process.
Is there a transaction fee?
No, there is no transaction fee.
How do I access copies of the resources I purchased?
You can download the resource(s) you have purchased from the link(s) on your order confirmation page. You will also receive an email confirmation including the link(s) to download the resource(s) you have purchased. Keep this email safe so that if you need to you can download your purchase(s) again in future.
Are the resources mapped to qualifications?
Individual resource descriptions include details of any specific qualification(s) the resource is mapped to. However, many of our resources can be used to support learners studying: I/GCSEs or A levels; a further education course; to enhance their career; or adults returning to learning.
Can I preview a resource before I purchase it?
There are sample pages of each resource included on the relevant page so that you can see what you are buying before you make your purchase.
I live outside the UK, can I purchase NEC resources?
Yes of course, we welcome orders from individuals and organisations wherever you are based.
Refunds and returns
I have changed my mind about the resource(s) I purchased, can I get a refund?
Before you complete your purchase, you will be asked to read and accept our Refund Policy. By accepting the policy you are confirming that by agreeing to an instant download of the resource(s) you select for purchase (which will become available to you immediately upon completion of your order), you acknowledge your right to cancel the contract is lost and you will not be eligible for a refund if you change your mind.
Before you purchase NEC resources, make sure that you have read our full Terms and Conditions and our Refund Policy, and that you have reviewed the sample pages of the resource(s) you intend to purchase.
My resource hasn’t downloaded what should I do?
If you have any problems downloading the resource(s) you have purchased contact email@example.com.
I can’t open my resource what should I do?
Make sure that the resource has finished downloading before you try to open it. If you are still having problems opening the resource you have purchased contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will need Acrobat Reader, or another PDF reader, installed on your device to open the PDF of the resource(s). You can download Acrobat Reader for free at https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/.
